Update Regarding City of Houston Boil Water Notice

Last night, Sunday, November 27, 2022, the City of Houston (the “City”) issued a boil water notification (the “Boil Water Notice”) for the City’s Main Water System after water pressure dropped below the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s required minimum 20 PSI during a power outage at the City’s East Water Purification Plant.

Northwest Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 28 (the “District”) does not receive water from the City of Houston.  The District receives its water from a joint water plant owned by the District and Meadowhill Regional Municipal Utility District and from a second joint water plant owned by the District and Northwest Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 36.  Water provided by the District to its customers is safe to drink and is not affected by the City’s Boil Water Notice.
